1-18-11: RIP Snowseph Merrick

Sadly, Snowseph Merrick - much like his namesake - collapsed under the weight of his own head in the wee hours of the night. Doesn't he look like the tragic figures from Pompeii? I am refusing to let the dogs "mark" him as it seems disrespectful. Maybe I'll try and rebuild him - better than he was before...

1-17-11: Snowseph Merrick

Yesterday was our second snowfall of the year! I assembled this homunculus using a colander, dead branches and wet leaves. He is part of a photography project I am working on with my SX-70. I wanted him to be a little grotesque and I liked his look so much I snapped some photos with my fancy SLR too. I have named him Snowseph Merrick.

Snowman building essentials: kitchen colander, lumberjack cap (threaded with a dainty ribbon), sx-70 stocked with film!
