Iron Curtain Fashion Redux: Part 1

Moopers lent me the most amazing fashion book: OFF THE WALL, Fashion From East Germany 1964 to 1980.  Fashion from behind the Iron Curtain? YES! We both fell in love with the design shown below on the left - the white text on a red tank top. To die!

I decided to recreate the design myself so we can make our own...

Step One: Pencil sketch on graph paper.

Step Two: Ink version onto copy paper.

Bees VS Bees

Just for fun - a side-by-side of the different personalities of bees (and artists). Tonya TKO Kehoe and I are collaborating on a logo for Divine Harmony Honey. The client wanted "warm, kind, loving bees" not "evil bees", so I was called in as The Cute Closer. I happen to like the fangoria bees of Miss TKO, can't you almost feel the sting?!
